Not realizing at a early age how I was viewing my surroundings
perhaps a little differently than others around me,
I soon began to understand that this was my creative
side starting to take form. With interest in drawing
and painting to follow, I began my career as and artist.
Several master artists from the past influenced my
direction, those included, Andrew Wyeth, with his
egg tempera technique of applying very small transparent
strokes of paint, to Maxfield Parrish with his luminous
layers of color. Now after many years of painting
with acrylics, I feel that I have established my own
technique that will separate my work from others.
For the viewer of my work now, its important to have
fun with color and seeing objects that I see but with
a twist on reality. Maybe you too will look at the
world in a different way.
